This workshop provides an understanding of what restrictive practices are and how you can identify the practices needed to ensure your consumers are safe.

The class focuses on the key concepts of the legislation to ensure you and your teams have the right practices in place to avoid non-compliances to the Aged Care Quality Standards.  We will walk through real life scenarios from industry and complex issues you need to be aware of to be successful in your practice.

Who should attend?

These workshops are designed for aged care employees of all levels within providers of aged care services, particularly Facility and Clinical Managers, Registered Nurses, frontline and new staff. They have been developed based on feedback received from the sector and will be particularly relevant to anyone new to the sector or seeking an overview of the application of restrictive practices.

The sessions are interactive, utilising zoom and involving breakout sessions, as such participants must to be logged in 1-person per device and be able to use the camera and microphone.
