MELBOURNE: Support Planning and Ongoing Support of Residents

The course will provide personal support coordinators, personal support staff, managers and proprietors with an overview of the support planning requirements under the legislation and how to effectively use support plans to support residents’ health and wellbeing. GEELONG: Residents and Mental Health: Better Practice in Supported Residential Services (SRS)

Attending this training will support proprietors and staff of SRS to: Understand mental illness and behaviour, Recognise behaviour triggers, Interpret behaviour change, Take safe and effective action. As of August 2015, the department requires all proprietors and staff of pension-level SRS to complete mental health training. Prior qualification may be recognised as meeting this requirement.
