Complimentary vital training for staff and proprietors of SRS
This online workshop provides participants with the opportunities to take part in group exercises and class discussions to encourage active participation to enhance learning of devising and writing a support plan that is inclusive of how to action improved and/or necessary changes.
Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences of working with residents in SRS (confidentiality is observed) as these examples are used as a basis for learning.
This workshop focuses on:
- Communication skills, both written and verbal to enhance support planning
- Identified sections of legislation related to support planning
- Key aspects of formulating the initial and ongoing support plan
- Putting the support plan into action
Who should attend? Suitable for Personal Support Coordinators (PSC), Support Workers, Managers and Proprietors.

Due to restrictions from COVID-19 this workshop and all other SRS workshops will be presented online through Zoom.
All resources will also be emailed to participants. Upon completion, certificates will also be sent via email.

Due to limited numbers per workshop there is an initial limit of 3 participants per facility.
Please note, if you decide to complete an online workshop at the SRS it is recommended you complete it outside of your rostered shift, this will ensure the SRS has appropriate staffing levels to support residents.
