From the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2022 employees who work at least eight 24-hour care shifts in accordance with clause 25.8 during the yearly period in respect of which their annual leave accrues will be considered to be shiftworkers for the purposes of the NES. This means that these employees will receive an additional week of annual leave each year so will accrue 5 weeks in total per year.
