The LASA Board of Directors is delighted to announce that it has made its first Director appointment in the Multi State Director category.
Clause 26.1 of the LASA Constitution, provides for a Multi State Director category on the LASA Board, with such a Director required to be an officer of a Member with operations in at least three states and territories of Australia. Unlike other Representative Director positions on the LASA Board, the Constitution stipulates that the Multi State Director is a Board appointed Director, and not a Director elected by the LASA Membership.
Stephen Muggleton, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bolton Clarke, has been appointed as Multi State Director on the LASA Board with effect from 1 November 2018 for a three year term. Bolton Clarke is a not for profit provider delivering retirement living, residential and home care services across Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia, along with international operations in New Zealand, China and the United Kingdom.
Mr Muggleton brings to the LASA Board 15 years’ experience leading two of the largest, full continuum aged care groups in Australia (home care, residential aged care, retirement living, RTO, Research), preceded by 15 years in Executive and CEO roles in major teaching hospitals in NSW and the NT. An active and positive contributor to thought leadership and policy in health and aged care, Mr Muggleton has an extensive record of service on Boards and Committees in the health and aged care industries. A more expansive biography can be viewed here.
LASA looks forward to Mr Muggleton’s commencement and the valuable contribution he will make to the LASA Board.
