The review of the 2013 Living Longer, Living Better legislation, (LLLB) was this week handed to the Government, who must table the review within 15 sitting days of its receipt.
The long-awaited review was conducted by Mr David Tune AO, the independent chair of the Aged Care Sector Committee which provides advice to the government.
Coinciding with the report going to government, LASA, alongside the Aged Care Guild and Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA), published a joint letter to federal Parliamentarians in the Australian Financial Review.
The purpose of this initiative is to press key messages to government on the aged care reform agenda and funding sustainability for industry while reinforcing the need for ongoing bipartisan support for aged care reform.
We will keep members informed of any government announcements regarding the review as they occur. LASA has and will continue to seek Member input that will inform our comments on any initial Government response to the LLLB review.
