Recognising & Reporting Changes in Residents’ Health (Melbourne, VIC) 2 Day Workshop; 9 & 16 SEP
9 September 2019 @ 10:00 am - 16 September 2019 @ 4:00 pm
TWO DAY WORKSHOP - 9 September 10am - 4pm & 16 September 10am - 4pm
Participants need to be able to attend both days.
This 2 day workshop has been developed by the Australian Centre for Evidence Based Aged Care (ACEBAC) at Latrobe University, and will be delivered by a facilitator from ACEBAC.
Older residents in aged care facilities and supported residential services are increasingly frail, have multiple health conditions including dementia and providing support can be challenging and complex. Being able to recognise and report changes in residents’ health early, can prevent admission to hospital. This workshop aims to assist personal support coordinators and personal support workers in SRS recognise when a resident's health status has changed and report this to the appropriate person.
