This dynamic online workshop covers all key aspects of ACFI and includes detailed discussion on all the twelve (12) ACFI questions and associated business rules. For the novice, ACFI can be a challenge as it still can for the ACFI expert. Participants will leave the course equipped with a high level of ACFI knowledge and skills, which they can immediately apply in the workplace. A resource book will be supplied at the beginning of the series to assist you to successfully Ace ACFI. During this virtual session our experienced facilitator Lyn Turner will guide you through the important issues around:
- The role of ACFI and its business rules
- Documentation required to support a successful claim
- The approaches used by successful ACFI Appraisers to plan mandatory and voluntary submissions
- Common errors found by validators
Lyn’s background and experience gives her the skills to present to all levels of staff and management in plain English. The sessions are interactive, providing participants with ample opportunities for questions and answers.

About the Facilitator:
Lyn Turner is the Director of National Care Solutions, a well-established ACFI and General Aged Care consultancy service. She has been involved in Aged Care since 2000 and has been during that time consulting, training and assisting aged care staff and Managers/ Proprietors. Between 2000-2006, Lyn was Director of the Australian Institute for Care Development (Now LASA Aged Care Training Institute). In 2007 Lyn started her own business to assist providers in areas mainly around ACFI, Accreditation (whilst working as a contractor for “the Agency”) and business development. Lyn is the Principal ACFI trainer for Leading Age Services Australia.
The sessions are interactive, utilising zoom and involving breakout sessions, as such participants must to be logged in 1-person per device and be able to use the camera and microphone.
The interactivity provides participants with ample opportunities for questions and answers and will ensure you leave the course equipped with advanced knowledge and skills, which you can immediately apply in the workplace.
